Shayne del Cohen, PhD Journal from sdc, AIR Tribal Education Columnist News Beat
WELCOME: This newsletter started when I was the Nevada coordinator for a five-state tribal library project which focused on archives, museums and cultural centers, moving on to include information about my passions: empowerment, education, environment and economic development.
My formal education includes a BA in Community Development, MA in International Management and a PhD in International Law, but the real education has come from the tribal communities I have been privileged to serve over the last 40 years.
CALIE publisher, Ernie C. Salgado, Jr., welcomes Shayne del Cohen to The American Indian Reporter tribal newspaper as a valued news commentator serving the 31 federally-recognized Indian reservations and their tribal members in Southern California, including northern and central California Indian reservations.
Dr. Cohen's vast professional experience with American Indian tribes spans more than 40 years, including the TV talk show "We the People" which she produced and hosted on the air for some 15 years. She also served as president of the Nevada Press Women. Her civic affiliations included the Nevada chapter of the National Federation of Press Women and the State Historical Records Advisory Board ... more ARTICLES WRITTEN BY Dr. Shayne del Cohen (www.ourstoryinc.com).
